Gr. 10-12 at Churchill.  Halloween makeup Demo:  Blanche MacDonald makeup artisits will be doing a demo of special effect makeup and tips and Q&A on halloween makeup.  Students who attend will also have a chance at a draw for an Aritzia Gift card for $100.  Mon, Oct 29 at lunch in the Churchill Career Centre.

Gr. 12.  House of Commons Page Program:  A Page in the HOC works an average of 15 hours a week in the House of Commons while studying full-time at one of the four National Capital Region universities (Carleton, U of Ottawa, Saint Paul U or Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO).  They are paid approximately $13,000 for their one-year term and a bonus of $1200 at the end.  Their transportation to and from Ottawa at the beginning and end of the term of employment is paid.  Interested students must have had at least 80% average in their final Gr. 11 marks and maintain that in Gr. 12.  They must be bilingual.  Duties include participating in ceremonies, delivering items to Members of Parliament, answering telephones, assisting the Speaker, Clerks, Sergeant-at-arms and other officials.  Deadline is Dec. 20/12.  Go to www.parl.gc.ca/hocpage.
